A little context here: Brady has been sick for over a week. It started as a fever which got almost to 104 and had us in the doctor’s office last weekend. He seemed to improve, but then he got congested badly, and now the congestion has moved to his lungs, sending us back to the Dr last night. He hasn’t been sleeping because of this and neither have Susan and me. That’s all the bad news. The good news is, the Dr thinks he has Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), which pretty much every kid gets by the time they hit 2. It’s more common in premature babies, and can be more dangerous, but all things considered the Dr thought he was doing fine and would recover without assistance…after a couple weeks ;-( The nebulizar can help breathing in ~20% of the affected kids, so we tried it. If you can’t tell, he *hated* this and screamed in ways I have never heard him scream, while I kept him pinned for 15 minutes. It really sucked, but a half hour after we were done he had fully recovered from his trauma, and he actually slept through the night last night in his crib.
