Spring, tentatively springing

That’s one of our apple trees just starting to sporadically bloom, despite the beating it took in the snowtober storm that broke major limbs off all our trees. Will we see apples this year? I’m thinking not, but I’ll post another photo if the trees bust into full bloom.

    So as it turns out, no – the trees did not recover. There were a handful of blossoms on many of the trees, but the only trees to full on bloom were the two smallest trees, neither of which took any damage from the storm. I’m thinking there will be no apples this year.
