Me wants. Mind you this is a babelfish translated page from the original Japanese so it’s a little tough to follow. Yes, I already have a great camera with a watertproof enclosure. Why would I want another? It’s mainly a size issue, mine is incredibly bulky. It’s fine for snorkling, though even then the thing is a little too bulky, but it sucks when I’m kayaking, it’s hard to paddle when I have this huge lump across my chest. This summer I am solving this problem one way or another, though I doubt I will solve it by buying a different camera, no matter how much it appeals to me.

Unless someone wants to buy my existing setup? Speak up if so.

The new rig or the old one? I assume you mean my existing camera stuff. More than it is worth to you I think – all told my existing setup cost me about $600 and I wouldn’t want to part with it for less than $350-400….plus I have been thinking about it and it doesn’t really make sense for me to, my existing camera has more features than the other model, all the other one has going for it is size, it’s tiny. My smartest move would be to buy the other one and just use it for kayaking. Which I may do once it drops in price, though that prolly won’t happen for this kayaking season. Looks like another season of trying to paddle with a lump on my chest. Or some other solution I have yet to fully imagine.

Speaking of which, when are you coming up for a spring kayaking adventure 😉

Oops, or did you mean the new tiny camera? The camera is going for like $2-300 depending on model, and the case is only $80 (compared to my case which was like $240, as much as the damn camera). Plus the Exilims have gotten really great reviews, check out http://www.dcresource.com.

Hmm… yeah, you’re right, that’s a lot more than I would want to spend (meaning your current setup).

I really want a new camera though. Oh, and a telescope, and a motorcycle, and and…
