We got up early to get on the road for our final stretch, the final six and a half hours of driving time between us and home. Retracing the steps of our first driving days of the trip in reverse, we reminisced about the terrible rest area with the warm soda and bad restrooms. David fell back into his dad joke patter repeating the same jokes from the way out, getting the same tepid response. He joked about going back to Niagara Falls which nobody but him thought was a good idea. We spent the first stretch getting caught up on blog posts. These are the final 3 photos from last year’s final stretch home. Suffice to say, we made it home safely.
