Ameinfo.com reports that Kuwaits biggest oil field, the world’s second largest, is producing significantly less oil than had been forecast. More fuel for the peak oil tank. I hope folks bookmarked that low-cost bike I linked to last week.
‘Ruh Roh Shaggy’ is from Scooby Do, the cartoon. Pretty bad when you have to explain your jokes. I’m getting old I guess, but in my defense Randy is older than me AND he has young kids.
i am searching high and low for a tdi jetta so i can make my own biodiesel… they are stupid popular over here with all us hippie hipsters. there are none to get.
backup plan: bmw r1150r. 47 mpg. no diesel bikes yet though. not commercially available at least.
My mom has a 2000 TDI Jetta. Sweet car to drive. Way more pep with the TDI engines than the older diesels had/have.
I have been watching for commercially available biodiesel. There are some places to get it, but nothing close by her yet.
A friend of hers, an older gentleman, has a TDI Jetta wagon in his garage going unused. His vision failed him a couple of years ago and he had to stop driving. I have lusted after that car for some time now, but he will not yield. No doubt one of his kids will get it one of these days.
My brother just bought an 87 Mercedes 300 SDL. He has not started researching biodiesel yet though.
My own past has diesel heritage. 1980 Volvo 264, and an 84 GMC Jimmy diesel. One day I will return to the fold, hopefully in a TDI.
An explanation since Randy asked today:
