Check this out. Homer simpson goes to town with about 100 sound clips. Imagine the prank phone calling fun you could have with that piped in through your telephone. It reminds me of a prank I pulled in college. A guy who was hosting the night’s party had a little doohickey hooked into his phone that could play a variety of sounds over the phone, about 20 of them, including barnyard animals, police sirens, ambulance sirens, doors slamming, windows breaking, and so on. The host had never held one of our frat parties at his place before so people were calling to ask for directions and the host was out on the beer run, so a friend and I were left in charge…

…and pretty quickly we figured out that we could have great fun with the noise maker as people called. Mostly we answered incoming calls with a cow moo-ing and chickens crowing. A couple of times my buddy would chime in on the other line ‘someone get that cow off the phone!’ and then we would both hang up. But the prank really came into its own when my roomate called – we did the barnyard animal thing and then I came on the line and pretended confusion and ignorance, and my friend came on the line and pretended to be an irate farmer, cussing out me and the animals. My roomate Simon was freaking out. Then we did a shotgun blast after the ‘farmer’ said he would take care of the varmints messing with the phone, and then after a few minutes we did a police siren and I told Simon ‘bad shit going down man, I gotta go!’ and then we hung up.

Simon was completely freaked out. He called back a few times and each time we just answered with cow moo’s. A few hours later he showed up at the party, apparantly he and his girlfriend circled the place a few times scoping it out before they came in. They had gotten directions from another person who had called and gotten the barnyard animal treatment from us as well, so all in all it was a confused group that ended up at the party that night.

they got their revenge on me too, dousing me with beer late in the night when all were good and drunk. It was worth the dousing though 😉
